NEWS 04/11/05 CALENDAR EDITS! PLEASE READ The calendar has a couple of errors including our complete negligence in forgetting to include:
CHICAGO IDOL
When: 8:30-10PM, Wednesday, April 13th
Where: Hutchinson Commons
What: Karaoke! Come experience contemporary Asian culture through Asia's favourite pasttime.
Additionally, please note that the time on the printed calendar for tomorrow's (Tuesday's) "Buddhism and Political Resistance" event states it will take place from 5-7pm in the Ida Noyes Library. This is actually incorrect and will actually be taking place:
BUDDHISM AND POLITICAL RESISTANCE
Where: Ida Noyes 3rd Floor Library
When: 6-8PM, Tuesday, April 11th
Hope to see you there!

NEWS 04/09/05 Hey all--just to let you know, the Opening Ceremony turned out to be quite enjoyable. Thanks to all who attended. We hope you had a good time.

There are a couple of corrections that need to be made on the calendar. I will post them up as the time comes. First, however, it should be noted that the lunch with the screenwriter[s] is to begin at NOON. The calendar lists this event as starting at 10am. Apologies for the inconvenience.

NEWS 03/31/05 Well, it's been awhile since this website was updated, but now there is actually viable info! (Cheers). Please do check the EVENTS section for all the updates on the wonderful activities going on this PanAsia Week.

If you are unfamiliar with the University of Chicago campus, please visit maps.uchicago.edu for maps of the U of C, its buildings, and its surrounding Chicagoland area. Any other questions? Feel free to email myself, Joanne, at [blush(at)uchicago(dot)edu] or Susie [sxs(at)uchicago(dot)edu]. Apologies for the lack of an actual link but the spam is killing me.

Finally, let me remind you all once again that "Harold and Kumar [are coming] to the Ivory Tower" in about a WEEK! Next Friday, April 8th is the PanAsia opening ceremony. We invite you all to come and enjoy. A banquet will be provided for your hungry tummies. The event will begin promptly at 6PM. And as always, all PanAsia events are free.
